1.What about/How about 后跟名词,代词或V-ing。用于征求意见。
      Eg: What about a cup of tea    How about you ?
          What / How about going to the zoo this afternoon?
         = Lets go to the zoo this afternoon, shall we?
         = Why not go to the zoo this afternoon?
 = Shall we go to the zoo this afternoon?
         = Would you like to go the zoo with me this afternoon?
2. too…to… “太…而不能…” too后跟形容词或副词原级,to后跟动词原形。可以和not…enough to…以及so…that sb can’t/couldn’t…互换。

3. soundnoise和voice这三个名词都可表示“______”。sound可以指人或动物发出的声音,或物体碰撞的声言,大自然的任何“声音”都可以用sound;noise意为“噪音”、“喧闹声”,常指不悦耳、不和谐的嘈杂声;voice一般指人的嗓音。

4.a lot多用于肯定句,有时也用于疑问句。作副词短语,在句中作程度状语,表示“很;非常;常常”,修饰动词、感叹词、介词短语、形容词或副词的比较级,如:

Do you wear your new watch a lot? 你常戴你的新手表吗?(修饰动词wear)

 
Thanks a lot/very much ---that’s very kind. 多谢,十分感激。(修饰感叹词thanks)
 He is feeling a lot/much better. 他感觉好多了。(修饰比较级better)

 5. She said memorizing the words of pop songs also helped a little.

 
划线部分在该句中是从句,作             .动名词即动词的-ing形式,相当于名词,在句子中可以作主语、宾语、表语、定语等。动名词作主语时,谓语必须用         形式。如:I think that doing lots of listening practice _______ (be)one of the secrets of learning English.
6. He thinks studying grammar is a great way to learn a language.
 该划线部分在句中作way的定语,常用来修饰名词或不定代词,放于所修饰词后,作后置定语。类似用法还有:This week we… the best way to learn more English. Singapore is a good place to travel.
7. frustrating/ frustrated 这两个单词都是形容词,frustrating意为        ,主语通常是        ;frustrated意为             ,主语通常是        。 再如:interesting(令人感兴趣的) interested (感兴趣的)exciting (令人兴奋的)excited (兴奋的) boring(令人厌倦的) bored(厌烦的,讨厌的)
跟踪练习All of us were          at the          news.(surprising,surprised)
【另】在“he finds watching movies frustrating”这个句子中,frustrating 作find 的宾语补足语,补充说明宾语watching movies。宾语补足语可由现在分词、过去分词、介词短语、形容词、副词、名词等充当。
8. join/ join in/ take part in 它们的意思都是   ____。选词填空并区别其含义。
.He ________ the Party(入党).     ②. May I _________ the game?
. All the students _____________ the school clean-up .
9. get excited 变得兴奋起来    get是系动词,有“逐渐变得”的含义    get + adj
 eg. The long journey got the children all tired. 长途旅行使得孩子们疲惫不堪。
10. end up doing sth    终止做某事,结束做某事  后面加动名词短语,相当于finish doing sth . 但要注意与stop doing sth (有可能是暂时停止,不久还会继续下去) 的区别。【另】end up with … 以…结束      The party ended up with her singing. 晚会以她的歌唱而告终。
